It flowered! It is PINK?!? How ghey ...

Took two months from seed to flower. Planted seeds in middle of May (a lot died in several hailstorms) and the strongest of the lot bloomed yesterday.

Papaver rhoeas var Shirley ...
nearly there...

Oh crap, it's PINK! I'll never hear the end of this

Seems to glow in the light

Cat is dwarfed to the size of this flower!

The plant that was supposed to be Scarlet Sage turned out to be something completely different! Not even sure what it is LOL. At least the bees love them

Waaaitaminute ... it's supposed to be RED!

Ah well, at least the bees like them

The fenugreek flowered, too!

Trigonella feonum greacum flower

The Borage is going to flower soon, too!
Borago officinialis

Bill and Ted the Romanescoes are doing great. I think they need repotting again soon!
Bill and Ted outgrowing their pots in a big hurry!

Also started some potatoes from some forgotten, wrinkly supermarket ones that no one wants to eat.
Pot-a-toe
Not forgetting the kittykats, I germinated some catnip as well. Makes a really nice relaxing tea ... if you can drink it without having to fight with your cats! Also smokes nicely as a tobacco substitute.

If I can grow them enough without them cats mauling it first!
Monarda is growing nicely ... I wonder how long before it starts to flower? Seems a bit slow growing for a native mint. Also makes a nice tea and tobacco substitute.
Can't wait to see the bees partying on this one!
Not all is smooth sailing though. There's been quite an infestation of spider mites and aphids in the garden, and the poor celosia plants looked pretty screwed up because of them sap suckers.

Peter, Larry, Curly, Moe and Cocot are growing happily. Not long now before we see some sunflower budding!
Peter needs repotting... again!

Larry, Curly and Moe - in another month they'll be as tall as me!
I've got more Basil than I know what to do with.

More Poppies transplanted from the main pot. They're still trying to recover from transplant shock.
Some of the bell peppers, and the Bolivian Rainbow Pepper:

A Jade leaf cutting has put out pups! To be honest I'm not sure whether this is a Portulacaria or a type of Crassula. I think it's more likely to be the former.

What are you?
Not really a plant, but Cat has decided to join me in the garden that day. Rolling around like the king of the castle.
Stickie tonguey outie

Scratching his back on the rough paving stone

Aaaah .... that hits the itchy spot!
